The allegations read: Senior citizen (71) client indicates he was sold through high pressure sales tactics, a fixed index annuity as an ostensible "bond replacement" without being informed of the many restrictions, fees and commissions. Customer indicates that he specifically requested the commissions and remuneration that mr. Abeyta would receive as a result of his purchase and was ignored. Customer also indicates that he told mr. Abeyta that the purchase was inappropriate for someone of his advanced age. Customer was not informed of the "bonus commission" earned by abeyta nor of abeyta's receipt of "marketing dollars" and other benefits for the sale of one particular annuity family over an other more appropriate investment. Customer has requested rescission of his annuity contract and is filing a complaint with colorado insurance oversight authority. Customer has stated abeyta has grossly violated colorado insurance best interest standard and also the sec regulation best interest.
